Naomi received the Covid Champion award from Runnymede Borough Council in April for all the work she has done helping to control the litter problem we have across the Borough with a focus on Addlestone and Chertsey. Naomi has organised clean up groups and providing them with necessary equipment including high vis vests and litter pickers to clean up our Borough and bring out the beauty that is there. Naomi’s work has already made a considerable impact in areas around Chertsey and Addlestone and the difference is noticeable. Many residents have commented on the Chertsey & Addlestone Clean Up groups in Facebook of how much better areas are looking as the litter gets collected.
Let’s hope that it does not become a problem again and those that do litter will think twice going forward. Let’s make Runnymede a Borough to be proud of and keep up the good work.
