Welcome to the Community Life summer issue (the weather forecasters are saying it’s starting in August). Better late than never I say. I set this out to be a smaller issue intentionally for you stay involved in community affairs and get some good lounge chair reading in while soaking up some extra Vitamin D (please remember the sun cream). All our regular articles will be back in the September issue along with it being a Focus on Education for the kids heading back to school or starting the experience for the first time.
A bit of rain did not put us off attending the Black Cherry Fair. Thank you so much to The Chertsey Rotary and all its members and volunteers putting on a fun and well attended event. It really felt like things were beginning to get back to normal. Thanks again to our Mayor, Councillors, MP, St John’s Ambulance, Surrey Fire & Rescue, Surrey Police and all those who were there representing our community.
Great to see more new shops opening on Guildford St. Allure Blinds and Shutters will be opening in August (fingers crossed) along with our other new shops of Shelby’s Fish Monger and The Phone Surgery. Hopefully many more will follow.
I have spoken with many of the advertisers who are definitely benefiting from the magazines. Thank you to the readers for making the enquires and trusting the system.
Yours faithfully,
