The Virginia Water Neighbourhood Plan is now two years into production, later this year will see the second public consultation giving residents a vision of the work that has been carried out. The forum of residents have retained specialist planning consultants, O’Neill Homer, to help and guide the production of a village wide plan that reviews issues of planning, design, land use, traffic, public footpaths, bridleways and the environment. In each instance the plan looks at the current status and seeks to offer an improved solution for the future.
This vision is reviewed by the Council and then voted for by a village wide referendum. The final plan is then adopted and sits alongside the Councils own Local Plan, which guides all new development in the area. The forum welcomes interest from all residents and business owners to engage and support. This support has already been received from The Crown Estate, Wentworth Golf Club, European Tour and the Wentworth Residents Association along with many residents of the village.
The forum thank everyone for their help in compiling data and their financial support via donations. If you have not already made a donation, it’s not too late! Please go to our Justgiving page or scan our QR code https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/vwneighbourhoodplan?utm_term=WXweVE272
