Community Life

WEYBRIDGE & BROOKLANDS| SEPTEMBER 2022

Hasn’t it been lovely to enjoy getting out in the summer sun once again? Whilst most of us enjoy a hot summer its important to recognise the effects of global warming, and following such a dry spell, as a community we have now gone into a hosepipe ban – so do be careful about your water consumption. Put a jug of water in the refrigerator to save waiting for water to get cold. Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth and think about taking shorter showers. The occasional rain dance in the garden might help also.

After being exceptionally careful for 2.6 years, I came back from a holiday in France and must have caught covid on the ferry home. How annoying. Even being fully vaccinated, it has definitely taken a toll. Please do be careful. If you are out in large gatherings, please do still bring a mask with you and wash your hands after touching communal areas. We will be living with Covid for a long time to come and best to be vigilant.

If you have a community story that you would like to highlight in our monthly publications, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
