As we are all aware, masks have become a part of our lives because we are in the middle of a pandemic due to a highly contagious, deadly virus. Masks mandates have been put in place because it is the safest way to keep us from contracting the virus. Disguarding masks in public is not only environmentaly unfriendly, it is a risk to others, unsafe and unsanitary.
Many of us have still not been tested and unless we have symptoms, do not know if we have the virus or not. Disguarding masks on the ground for someone else to pick up is not in the best interest of the community. It’s not just another piece of litter. We are wearing them to make sure we don’t get infected or infect others. Think beyond yourself! Put used masks in proper recipicals or better yet, take them home and dispose of them there and keep safe.
