I would like to start off by wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! May 2022 bring lots of joy, happy moments, prosperity and a stronger community.
This year is already starting to look greener. We have the Mayor very busy planting trees for the Queen’s Canopy and the Mayor’s Legacy. She has already planted over 50 new oak trees and has a lot more to plant. She is looking for more schools and businesses to join in to get as many of her 000’s a tree saplings planted by April. Please do not hesitate to contact her and take part in this momentous exercise.
Let’s all try and do out best for the climate. We cannot take back time but we can move forward and do our part to reduce our plastic purchases and waste less. Taking small steps together today can result in bigger changes tomorrow. There are several manufacturers and organisations leading the way to better our climate for the future and by giving them support in our purchases, we can help to make a difference for generations to come.
Although we are still a way away from being clear of Covid and its various forms, there is still a lot of life to live and things to look forward to in 2022. We have Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee to look forward to this summer. There will be a lot more in the planning so stay safe, wear a mask when out of the house, get your jabs and take a step forward to look to the future.
