Most of us think of Apprenticeships as only being for the young or newly hired staff – not anymore! Leadership and Management Apprenticeships are designed for working managers of any age who need to upskill to face the challenges of a post COVID age.
Level 3 Leadership and Management apprenticeships are for first line managers and supervisors.
Level 5 Leadership and Management apprenticeships are for operational and middle managers
At respectively AS level and foundation degree level, they provide the ideal way for an organisation, however small, to upskill its management team to face the challenges of an EU free UK, and a world which will do even more business online.
Even better is the fact that both programmes are fully funded by Government. This is worth £4,500.00 at Level 3 and £7,000.00 at Level 5. The programmes are accredited by ILM, which is the management arm of City & Guilds. Quality control is overseen by ILM itself and Ofsted.
Programmes require attendance at around 15 day long workshops or Virtual Classroom Zoominars spread over about 18 months. The whole programme is integrated into real life work, and at both levels’ participants produce a work based Improvement Project designed to deliver quantifiable improvements to their organisation in terms of cost savings, productivity improvements, improved customer service, viability, or profitability.
Management apprenticeships are currently being run for the NHS, Local authorities, private sector SME’s of all sizes, voluntary bodies, and charities and for academic institutions’ staff at leading universities. Apprenticeships must be delivered by a recognised Apprenticeship provider listed on RoATP, the Register of approved Training Providers, such as Cherith Simmons Learning and Development, who run local and nationally based programmes
